Balance restored…kind of

I had a massage for the first time today and I am in LOVE with reflexology (rubbin’ da feet)  I felt like a new woman, a younger woman who doesn’t spend all day plucking a 30 lb. baby out of perilous situations.

My therapist rubbed out the husband knot in my neck, the kid pain in between my shoulders, and the I-type-too-much pain in my pain in my shoulder.  The sinus pressure and headache I’ve been battling all week was GONE (and still is) with 5 minutes of massaging my face.

When she was done with my reflexology massage I literally felt great from my head to my toes, especially my toes!  My feet feel so great that I actually feel lighter.

Through just the way my feet felt in the therapists’ hands she pin pointed every ailment I have without my saying a word, right down to the infertility.  I could have let her go for hours and when my time was up I wanted to go crawl into a bubble so I could keep that totally relaxed feeling forever.

Just as I was falling in love with the balanced and harmonious feelings I was having the real world restored its’ balance via a dinner time toddler meltdown. For no apparent reason my son launched into a disturb-the-entire-restaurant (and perhaps the entire block) titanic fit.  It bears mentioning that 10 minutes after I got up without finishing my dinner to take him to the car, Chibby found his balance restored and was fine.

Despite all that and a few loads of laundry I’m still buzzing on endorphines and loving every minute of it.  If your hubby is looking to get your in a loose and lovin’ mood this Valentines Day, Massage Envy offers gift certificates!

Massage Envy rocks and they offer reflexology, which in my opinion makes life worth living, or at the very least makes toddler tantrums more bearable.
