HAHAHA where do you live and you can come hang out with me! What a crack up this post is to me. I started a Mommy group a long time ago in my church of all places and then when I left for 2 months then came back they treated me just the same….how marvelous! Meeting new friends these days can be daunting I agree. I have honestly met several of mine via the web if you can believe it! Nice to meet you it has been a long while since I commented on your blog. I was cleaning up my bookmarks and came by yours. I will leave you up as I think you are just darling and you totally crack me up! Plus one can only hope for a cup of lemonaide with you while wearing Old Navy LOL!

After meeting you I get it. I don’t fit into those ridiculous groups either. Busy mothers who have more to do than shop with their husbands cc’s don’t need mommy’s groups.

Poo on them! Anyone who is so narrow minded like you describe, I just say good riddance! That’s not the kind of life I want to cultivate for myself, nor would I want that for my child. Go for creating the renegade group you mentioned!

I just got a few beautiful Lia Sophia jewelry pieces from the Lia Sophia Jewelry Store. When I gave them to my wife she was so excited. It’s amazing how a little jewelry can cheer a woman up, lol. Thank you for writing this blog!! last year I tried joining a mommy group but found I just didn’t fit in with all the other so called “perfect” moms and always felt inadequate. I am sure they weren’t as perfect as they seemed to appear but it didn’t show in any way and I just decided because I wasn’t perfect or appear to be perfect it wasn’t the right group for me.

Such snobbery. I’ve never belonged to a Mommy group before, of course, but I got that same kind of treatment in other groups from people who either we “better than me” or who could not understand that I had a life outside the group and would not be attending every function (which seemed to fill up my calendar pretty quickly.) Eh, who needs them?
