I wish we had connected earlier too. I try to put together a collection of travel tips with young babies and children on my website as well.
In particular, I suggest getting a sign language book or CD or DVD for time spent on the road. This way time spent will be on something educational as well.

If you click on the photo it will take you right to those snack cups on Amazon. It's been months since we took those to Disney and I still use them and love them!

I hope you have a great trip! My husband and I have traveled a lot with our two kids, beginning when the oldest was just a few months old. The plane trips are always a source of anxiety, but it does help to prepare.

I have some helpful tips on entertaining toddlers, flying with kids, etc on my website at
http://www.deliciousbaby.com

A favorite article is Ten Tips for Keeping a Toddler Occupied on a Plane
http://www.deliciousbaby.com/journal/2007/nov/16/ten-tips-keeping-toddler-occupied-plane/

I'll be excited to hear how your trip goes. Feel free to send me email if you want any tips or advice.
